Reporting to the Plant Manager of LiquidStack, this role applies skills to wire, assemble, test, troubleshoot, and calibrate moderately complex equipment and sub-assemblies. Areas of expertise include electrical interconnect, mechanical, pneumatic, fluid flow, or vacuum technologies. The role will learn new technologies that will improve and shape the data center industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs a wide variety of routine and non-routine electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair. Adjusts, aligns and/or performs “go-no go” tests using test fixtures or non-diagnostic electronic testing devices. Identifies and corrects errors. Retests. Validates design, fabrication and set up of assemblies.
- Performs routine inspection checks on equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues promptly and efficiently.
- Builds and assembles electrical control panels and doors. Cut, prep, and terminate control wiring connections.
- Wires all control type components, terminals, relays, meters, contacts, breakers, switches, terminal/shorting blocks, lights, etc.
- Operates a computer terminal to look up drawings and diagrams.
- Measures, uses tools, interprets visual aids, and performs simple shop math.
- Works with Quality Control to ensure products are properly set up and calibrated.
- Collaborates with the engineering team to solve complex problems and improve efficiency.
- Works directly with production associates and management to problem-solve and correct production issues that will ensure maximum production efficiencies.
- Documents all maintenance and repair work for future reference and reporting to management.
- Keeps up to date with the latest technological advancements in the engineering industry to ensure that the company’s machinery and equipment are in line with industry standards.
- Performs work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulation.
- Actively participates in Safety, health & environment program to ensure a high standard of workplace safety.
- Acts in a manner consistent with LiquidStack’s core values and according to LiquidStack’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Behavior.
- Complies with standards and procedures of LiquidStack’s health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 2 years Technical/Vocational training and 4+ years of relevant experience as an electromechanical technician.
- An understanding of ISO Quality systems
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Ability to use, setup, configure, and calibrate test equipment such as soldering, and other related equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair products.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, machine drive systems
- Ability to train and implement processes to assign department.
